Meet our Team
Luke and I met during our senior year of college and almost immediately knew we were going to get married (I definitely knew right away). But it wasn’t until we began working together that we realized just how perfect of a team we really are. Luke is the one that knows all about the gear and the editing, and he handles all the legal and financial things – thank goodness for that – and I communicate with our clients and add a feminine touch to our work. We spend nearly all of our time together, now with our baby son, Mathis, and I’m happy to say it’s pretty darn perfect.
Together we have been in the wedding world for 4 years, and our team has been evolving and growing ever since. We’ve had the pleasure of working with and learning from many talented shooters and editors over the years but now have settled in with a team that truly feels like family. On your wedding day, you’ll be working with two Light Cannon team members, so I thought I’d give them a proper introduction.
Luke, Executive Director and Team Leader
Luke is pushing 30 (sorry, honey) but has more energy than he knows what to do with. So, he puts it toward renovating our home, trying to keep a garden alive, playing Spikeball, surfing, fishing, and being a superhero husband and dad. He’s also the most positive person you will ever meet and constantly teaches me how to see the world in the best way. And before I get too sappy… he graduated UNCW with a degree in Communications Studies and has over 10 years of film experience under his belt.
Taylor, Associate Director and Commercial Producer
Taylor has been a part of the team for a while now, but recently came on as a full time and irreplaceable member of the Light Cannon Films family. He shares his creativity generously and also brings organization, sanity, and style to our office (he’s much cooler than Luke and me). When he’s not shooting or editing, he loves to hang out with his new bride Elizabeth and his adorable pup Theo. He also knows how to tie a bow tie.
Caleb, Shooter, Editor and Drone Operator
Caleb is going into his Junior year at UNCW and this is his first year on board with Light Cannon Films.
Aside from weddings, Caleb is a talented documentary-style filmmaker and has been all over the world with his camera. Last year alone, his travels took him to Africa and Portugal. Like a true Wilmingtonian, he spends his free time on the water, on the boat or out surfing. Caleb keeps us young and fresh and brings lots of experience and fun to the table.
